What is Overlooted?
#

Overlooted is a cozy dungeon crawler where the victory condition isn’t clearing the floor — it’s hauling home a full cart of loot.

You explore handcrafted dungeons filled with treasure, traps, and creatures that really want your stuff. Goblins will try to steal from your cart if you’re not paying attention. Slimes will straight-up eat your loot — though a pinch of salt shrinks them down to size. New tools unlock as you progress, opening paths to deeper areas — Metroidvania-style. Your cart has limited space, so every run is a puzzle: what do you take? What do you leave behind? Can you make it back to the surface with enough loot to make the trip worthwhile?

Think inventory management meets Metroidvania exploration, wrapped in a warm, hand-drawn art style.


Core Pillars
#

Cozy but tense. The dungeon has its own agenda, and so does everything living in it. Warm lighting, gentle music, and a world that feels lived-in — even when the slimes are eyeing your cart.

Cart-filling strategy — your cart is your score, your inventory, and your lifeline. Every item has weight, size, and value. Packing it efficiently is half the game.

Handcrafted dungeons — every room, shortcut, and secret is designed by hand, with new tools gating access to deeper areas as you progress.

Creature encounters, not combat — goblins will nick your loot if you’re not watching; slimes will eat it whole. Salt shrinks slimes, noise scares goblins. Outwit them, avoid them, or lose your best finds.
